Old Bend / Downtown

Original Colonial Home - Downtown Bend

Downtown Bend is the original Bend town site and contains most of Bend's historic structures. The Downtown neighborhoods include the old mill workers neighborhood between the downtown business district and the Old Mill District, the Drake Park neighborhood, and the Riverfront neighborhood. Almost all the homes in this area are in the historic preservation district, which means that any renovations to the homes must be approved and maintain the historic look of the area.

The historic Downtown business area is one of the most popular gathering areas for both Bend residents and tourists. With the majority of Bend’s best restaurants, breweries, and nightspots along with many shops and art galleries this is not an area to miss. Recently with the popularity of the historic Downtown business area continuing to grow, many Downtown condo developments are starting to spring up allowing people to live in the heart of Historic Bend.
