Larkspur

Larkspur is a very diverse neighborhood. The west side of this area borders 3rd Ave, which is the business district of Highway 97. This part of Larkspur just east of the highway is made up of older homes, duplexes and apartments mostly built in the 1970’s. Just past these homes you cross over the freight train tracks and enter into a light industrial and commercial area. This area contains mostly older buildings, but new buildings are gradually replacing some of the older outdated ones. Heading east past the commercial area brings you back to a residential area and a neighborhood of homes mostly built from the 1970’s to the 1990’s, with a few sections of recently built homes mixed in. The east part of Larkspur is where most of the current construction is happening for this neighborhood. This area along 27th Street in the past was farm land and as the property owners of the land gradually sell, new developments continue to grow. Many of the lots on the east side have peek-a-boo views of the mountains to the west along with Pilot Butte.
