Southwest Bend Features Deschutes River Access and Cascade Views

The Southwest Bend area includes a lot of newer neighborhoods developed next to the Deschutes River. Many of the locals who have been in Bend for a long time will tell stories of the prime hunting they used to do where many of these houses are now. The Deschutes River Woods neighborhood that is at the south end of Brookswood just outside the city limits used to be a secluded area far removed from the city. Now a days the Deschutes River Woods, or simply DRW as the locals call it, has blended in with the rest of the houses popping up along Brookswood. Cascade views are often excellent from this area. The Old Mill District is a short drive from many southwest neighborhoods making this an attractive part of Bend to own a home.
