Festival of Trees
The magic of the 25th annual Festival of Trees will unfold Saturday, December 6 at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds and Expo Center. Festival of Trees, presented by Redmond-Sisters Hospice with Fred Meyer as our supporting sponsor, and is a long-standing holiday tradition featuring some 35 individually-decorated Christmas trees, holiday wreaths, a live and silent auction, music, visits with Santa and much more. The event showcases the creative talents of individual tree decorators and ushers in the holiday season with festive activities and an elegant Gala Buyer's Auction.
Free family activities, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. draw the community together to enjoy elaborate Christmas trees, wreaths and holiday fare. Children can visit Santa, participate in games or build something at the Home Depot Children's Workshop. Entertainment by local music and dance groups, raffles and a silent auction add to the day's festivities.
The magical Gala Buyer's Auction, which starts at 5:30 p.m. features a champagne and hors d'oeuvres social hour, silent auction and music by Lindy Gravelle. A live auction of trees begins at 7 p.m. and is followed by entertainment. Gala Buyer's Auction event tickets are $40 and are available by calling 548-7483
