Ski for Light

Ski for Light, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to introducing and promoting participation in vigorous outdoor activities by blind and mobility-impaired persons in partnership with sighted and able-bodied persons, is coming to Bend February 9-16. The group will be staying at The Riverhouse, skiing daily at Mt. Bachelor, having breakfast and dinner each day in the Riverhouse Convention Center, and participating in other activities arranged by the organization.

The group is looking for volunteers to assist visitors going to and from breakfast and dinner each day. Volunteers will be stationed in various locations on The Riverhouse property to greet and direct people to the convention center and back to the lodging area. Volunteers are needed from 7:00-8:30 AM and 6:00-8:00 PM beginning with breakfast on Sunday, February 10 through dinner on Saturday, February 16.

Use the online volunteer form at: http://sfl.org/otherapp.html. The Ski for Light online form also includes a variety of other ways to volunteer in addition to the mealtime assistance.
