Light of Hope 5K Run, 1K Run/Walk & Community
This community event held on April 28th, is a fundraiser for CASA. CASA refers to Court Appointed Special Advocate, a trained community volunteer appointed by a judge to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in court.
You can choose between a 5k, a 1k, or the community challenge relay. All races start and finish at McKay Park. The 5K starts promptly at 8:30 am! Directions to McKay Park: Take Colorado Avenue West, at the round-a-bout take SW Simpson heading west. Parking is available at the Mt. Bachelor Park & Ride. Follow signs and head east toward the river to get to McKay park.

After the race runners and walkers can enjoy food and beverages provided by Community First Bank and Izzy's Pizza with activities such as clowns, face-painting and balloon animals! Check out the newest roasting company in Central Oregon, Lone Pine Coffee, to get your morning started.
