Mill Workers Cottages and Mature Trees

The Downtown Bend Historic District (or Old Town Historic District) is located just south of downtown and is bounded by the Downtown central business district on the north side, and the Old Mill District on the south side. The National Register of Historic Places gives this description:
Old Town Historic District
(added 2001 - Deschutes County - #01000681)
Roughly bounded by Arizona Ave., Wall St., Broadway, Franklin Ave., and Division St., Bend
(740 acres, 189 buildings, 136 structures)
This neighborhood is characterized by 1920's and 1930's mill workers cottages and homes, mature trees, and close proximity to Downtown amenities. Both Downtown and the Old Mill District are within walking distance, including Drake Park and the Deschutes River. If being part of Bend's emerging urban scene appeals to you, this is a prime location that is full of charm and character.
