Valhalla Heights

This is another of those neighborhoods that was built in the late 1970s and 1980s. During that era, the trend was toward larger lots and more space between homes. Valhalla is no different with most homes sitting on 1/2 acre lots. Another advantage of an older neighborhood is the maturity of the flora. This neighborhood is literally covered in large ponderosa pine trees that increase the sense of privacy from home to home. Located on the west side of Bend, it is just minutes to downtown, but feels as though you are living out along the National Forest land. It is also located less than 1/2 mile from Shevlin Park, which is one the largest parks in Bend with the Tumalo River running right through it. Cycling, hiking, running, and picnics are just a few of the activities just up the road.
