The development goal of this unique west Bend neighborhood was to create a community that offered quality built homes in a safe, friendly environment that would also provide parks, schools, shops, and even it’s own post-office. The construction is now in the middle phases of residential development (eventually there will be over 1000 residences) and District 2 commercial building and it is a huge success.
Unlike so many other neighborhoods that have been built in recent years in Bend, the lots are available to any builder for purchase and construction. This results in a neighborhood where each home is unique. CCR’s ensure a certain level of quality of course, but no two homes are identical. The home styles are craftsman for the most part and it only takes a few minutes to see that these are all high quality homes. The homes are spacious and the lots are easy to maintain with professional landscaping. Town homes are also available along Mt. Washington Drive.
There are four large parks, schools, and commercial shops that make this neighborhood extremely family friendly. Seeing couples with strollers or walking the dog is common on nicer evenings and weekends. An elaborate system of on and off street waling and cycling trails link the numerous parks and schools. There is a true feeling of community and common interest here.
