This part of Westside Bend is characterized by large pines, a mix of paved and dirt roads, and many different home styles. Just 15 years ago, this part of town was the western edge of Bend and there was nothing but open land and forest to the West. Much new development has occurred in Bend and this part of town is now comfortably within city limits. The Century Drive commercial area is one of Bend's fastest growing business strips. Fine restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, and a variety of retail shops are found in this area. Century Drive goes straight to Mount Bachelor and the Cascade Lakes Highway, so you'll find most of Bend's ski shops in this part of town as well.
